Celkon Mobiles Highlights
One of the few domestic smartphone manufacturers based in Hyderabad, Telangana, Celkon was founded in 2009 as an Indian smartphone manufacturing firm with an envision to spread its name across the whole wide world. As a domestic manufacturer, Celkon mobiles were very much in line with the overall needs of an average Indian consumer. Therefore, alongside feature phones and smartphones, Celkon phones were initially very well known for their dual-SIM capabilities, amongst other things. After all, the brand has always been committed to delivering the best smartphones in the Indian market in order to enable a cohesive way of connecting millions of Indian users almost obliterating the digital divide. Despite being a domestic smartphone maker, Celkon new mobiles were initially assembled in China and Taiwan, making them just a little bit expensive for the Indian market. However, over the years, precisely in 2015, the brand opened up its assembly line in the Medchal region of Hyderabad where Celkon all mobiles were assembled, as the assembly line has an overall capacity of 200,000 phones. Soon after, Celkon cell phones were also assembled in the brand’s two new assembly units, one residing in the Tirupati region of Andhra Pradesh, while the other being present in the Hyderabad region of Telangana.
