Acer Mobiles Highlights

Commonly referred to as Acer, Acer Inc. is a global electronics company founded by Stan Shih, Carolyn Yeh, and George Huang in August 1976. It was originally known as Multitech, but the name was changed in 1987 to Acer. Amongst a good variety of electronic products, Acer has also been known to manufacture some of the best mobile phones in the industry. Over the years, Acer mobiles have either been powered by Microsoft’s Windows or Google’s Android operating system. In the starting, however, Acer phones mainly relied on the Windows OS. The manufacturer acquired another smartphone manufacturer E-ten in 2009 to expand its smartphone business.

As a result, it introduced a range of smartphones to the industry, of which the third Acer smartphone series, dubbed the Acer neoTouch ran on the Windows Mobile 6.5 OS. The most interesting smartphone in the initial neoTouch series was the Acer neoTouch S200, which was a smartphone designed specifically for business use. It was launched in October 2009 and was very well perceived by the audience.

It was also the second new Acer mobile phone in the market, following the Toshiba TG01, with a 1 GHz Snapdragon processor. Acer achieved the next mean feet with the neoTouch P300 smartphone. Unveiled at the Mobile World Congress 2010 in Barcelona, the neoTouch P300 came equipped with a sliding QWERTY keyboard from the side, amongst other things. After that, Acer has solely focussed on making Android-powered smartphones. The Acer mobile price list you see above comprises many such exciting phones made by Acer, and then some.
