BQ Mobiles Highlights

Formerly known as Mundo Reader, BQ is a Spanish brand that primarily makes smartphones and other technological products. It has its headquarters in Madrid, Spain, ever since the brand was founded. Along with smartphones, the company is also known for making e-readers and 3D printers, among other things. BQ mobiles have been known for their incredible value-for-money quotient in the past. While the company opened up its shop and started doing business in the year 2009, it was only later when BQ smartphones came to light.

The most notable mobile phones from the brand were under its Aquaris series of smartphones, comprising the BQ Aquaris A4.5, one of the first Android-powered smartphones – which meant it got two years’ worth guaranteed software updates and security updates support from Google – to feature the Android One platform, followed by BQ Aquaris E4.5 which came powered by the Ubuntu phone operating system for mobiles. Over the course of time, as you can see in the BQ mobile price list above, the brand released many smartphones under its Android One series. It also manufactured a large number of high-end Android smartphones at the same time, therefore in order to establish itself as a premium mobile maker. Moreover, mid-range BQ phones were also manufactured by the brand in order to catch the other end of the market. Interestingly, however, the brand also made phones that run on Android Cyanogen OS, along with the already mentioned Ubuntu-powered smartphones. All the new BQ mobiles, however, were based on the Android operating system.
