Microsoft Mobiles Highlights

Usually referred to as just Microsoft, the Microsoft Corporation is one of the largest multinational technology firms in the Indian market. It was founded by Bill Gates and Paul Allen in April 1975, which makes it one of the few veterans in the industry. Moreover, it has headquarters in the Redmond region of Washington, United States. It is also one of the top 5 companies in the Indian market.Of course, Microsoft mobiles only became a reality deep down the line – 2014 to be precise – when Microsoft started the development and manufacturing of smartphones by itself. For this, the technology giant acquired Nokia’s devices and services. The initial Microsoft phones were regulated under a decade-long agreement with the Finnish brand, in which Microsoft held rights to sell feature phones based on the S30+ operation system and stamped with its branding.

It was, originally, planned that Microsoft smartphones made with the JV with the Finnish maker would run on Microsoft’s Windows platform for mobiles, while its feature phones would promote its Bing search engines. Sooner than later, however, the Finnish brand came up with the Lumia series, which were powered by Microsoft’s Windows mobile operating system. The Microsoft mobile prices for the Lumia models were extremely up to the mark giving the competition a run for the money.

Sadly, though, despite the incredible Microsoft mobile price list, Lumia mobiles didn’t gain much popularity given the operating system’s limitations. Microsoft new mobiles, since then, are branded under the Surface line-up by Microsoft. The one that has piqued the interest of many is the Surface Duo, a foldable phone made entirely by Microsoft.
