Umidigi A9 Pro Summary

The Chinese brand has unveiled yet another model in the A9 series i.e. Umidigi A9 Pro that is going to launch in late-2021 or early-2022 in India and the Umidigi A9 Pro price is expected to be Rs. 9,999. The smartphone is touted to be pro-in-camera with the sony sensors present on both the rear and front camera sides. The device has been launched in two colour options - Forest Green and Onyx Black.

Design

The Umidigi A9 Pro mobile comes with a 6.3 inches IPS LCD display along with a waterdrop notch feature. On that note, the device has an aspect ratio of 19.5:9, 409 PPI pixel density, and 81.79%, screen to body ratio. The height, width, and thickness of this device are 158.7 mm x 74.9 mm x 8.6 mm with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels.

Camera

On the optics, there’s a quad-camera that includes a 48 MP f/1.79 Primary Camera (2" sensor size, 1.6µm pixel size), 16 MP, Wide Angle, Ultra-Wide Angle Camera, 5 MP, Depth Camera, and 5 MP, Macro Camera. Dual LED flash, HDR, Digital Zoom, Autofocus, Touch to Focus, and Face Detection are also present in Umidigi A9 Pro beside the image resolution of 8000 x 6000 pixels. Upfront, the device boasts a 24 MP front camera that comes with an f/2.0 aperture.

Performance

The smartphone is equipped with a MediaTek Helio P60 chipset, paired with up to 4GB RAM and up to 64GB of internal storage and another variant has 6GB RAM along with 128GB in-built storage. The device is, moreover, backed up by a Li-ion 4150 mAh battery, which supports 10W fast charging via USB Type C. Furthermore, it is based on Android v10. It also gets a fingerprint sensor on the rear side that is there for security purposes. There are five other auxiliary sensors present on the smartphone: Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Light sensor and Compass.
