Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3

Alongside the Galaxy20 series, the South Korean giant unveiled another smartphone in 2020 - Samsung Galaxy Z Flip. Although, the latter one didn’t get much recognition as it didn’t offer great hardware for its price. Even the second-gen device was launched and offered great performance, but wasn’t well received. And now, Samsung has come up with Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 that brings huge improvements to the table. Here are all the details you need to know about this newly launched device. 

Display

Let’s first start with the display! Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 comes with a 6.7-inch Full-HD+ 2X Dynamic AMOLED display with a 1080 x 2640-pixel resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate on the inside. The device has a 22:9 aspect ratio, 425 PPI pixel density, peak brightness of up to 1200 nits along with HDR10+ certification. The display panel gets a new stretchable PET layer for additional durability. On the other hand, the outer display gets a 1.9-inch super AMOLED display with 260 x 512-pixel resolution and 302-pixel density. Moreover, the outer screen also gets a few handy widgets and customization options. 

Camera

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 mobile has a dual-camera system at the back consisting of a primary 12MP f/1.8 up to 10x Digital Zoom primary camera and a 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle camera. The rear main camera comes with features like Dual Pixel Auto-focus, HDR10+ video recording, optical image stabilization (OIS), and Tracking AF support. The secondary camera has a 123-degree field of view. As far as the front camera is concerned, the device comes with a 10MP selfie camera f/2.4 that is incorporated within a punch-hole cutout on the inside panel. 

Performance

Powering the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 is Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset and Adreno 660 graphics, further coupled with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB in-built storage. It gets a Li-ion 3300 mAh with 15W fast charging via USB type C. The processor features Octa-core Kryo 680 CPU and is based on Samsung One UI that runs on Android v11. A few of the connectivity options include 5G, 4G, 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi 802.11, Mobile Hotspot, A-GPS, NFC, and Bluetooth v5.1. The handset also has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and AI face recognition for security purposes. 

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 is unveiled in India in August 2021 and is priced at Rs. 84,999 for sole 8GB RAM + 128GB in-built storage variant. The device is available in seven colours - Green, Pink, White, Phantom Black, Gray, Cream, and Lavender.
