Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus

Recently in February, Samsung launched three new S-series line-up i.e. Samsung Galaxy S22, Samsung Galaxy S22+, and Samsung Galaxy S22+ ultra in selected markets. These newly-launched smartphones are probably going to launch in India in April 2022. In this article, we will be discussing Samsung Galaxy S22+ only! The Samsung Galaxy S22+ price is expected to be Rs. 84,999 with the memory configuration of 8GB RAM paired with 128GB in-built storage. Display

Samsung Galaxy S22+ features a 6.55-inch full-HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display protected by Vision Booster and Gorilla Glass Victus+. The chassis of the device is protected by Armor Aluminium. The display gets a Samsung Eye Comfort Shield for blue light control. For a better screening experience, the device has an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate that can drop to as low as 10Hz along with the 1,750 nits of peak brightness. Furthermore, the pixel density is 402 PPI and 20:9 aspect ratio.

Camera

On the camera front, the Samsung Galaxy S22+ mobile is equipped with a triple rear camera setup that is helmed by a 50-megapixel primary dual Pixel autofocus wide-angle sensor with an f/1.8 aperture lens. There is also a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture lens and a 120-degree field-of-view along with a 10-megapixel sensor paired with an f/2.4 aperture telephoto lens that offers 3x optical zoom and OIS. Talking about the front camera, the device gets a 10-megapixel selfie camera with an 80-degree field-of-view and f/2.2 aperture lens.

Performance

The newly-launched smartphone runs on Android 12 with One UI 4.1 on top. Samsung Galaxy S22+ device has an octa-core 4nm SoC. The chipset used in the Indian variant of smartphones has not been revealed yet however it is expected to be out soon. Also, Qualcomm has declared that its flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC powers the “global” variants so India is likely to get one as well. The device is equipped with a Li-polymer 4,500mAh battery with support for fast charging at 45W. It also gets wireless charging at 15W besides Wireless PowerShare for reverse wireless charging. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G, 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C port. Sensors included in the smartphone are an ambient light sensor, accelerometer, barometer, geomagnetic, gyroscope, hall, and proximity sensor.
