Motorola Edge S

Motorola Edge S is all set to join the ranks of the smartphones in the Edge series family in India. Expected to be priced at Rs. 22,590, it will come in three variants, which are 6 GB RAM + 128 GB of internal storage, 8 GB RAM + 128 GB internal storage, and 8 GB RAM + 256 GB of internal storage. The smartphone has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset installed and will be available in two colours, which are White and Emerald Blue.

Display

The Motorola Edge S mobile will have a 6.7 inches screen size, IPS LCD, an aspect ratio of 20:9, and an 81.4 per cent Screen-to-body Ratio. With a screen resolution of 2520 x1080, it will feature a 409 PPI pixel density, a refresh rate of 90 Hz, and a touch sampling rate of 360Hz. It will also offer HDR10 support. The smartphone is to have a thickness and width of 9.6 mm and 73.9 mm and weigh around 215 g. The phone will be IP52 splash-proof.

Camera

Motorola Edge S will feature a triple rear camera setup with a 64 MP f/1.7 Wide Angle Primary Camera with 1.7" sensor size and 0.8µm pixel size; a 16 MP Wide Angle, Ultra-Wide Angle Camera with 1µm pixel size; and a 2 MP Depth Camera. The phone will come with a dual LED Flash, and will also come with Phase detection autofocus. Some of the photography functions available on this phone are 64MP Mode, Digital Zoom, Auto Flash, Face detection, and Touch to focus. The smartphone also will come with a dual front camera setup with a 16 MP Wide-Angle Primary Camera with 100° field-of-view and 1µm pixel size; and an 8 MP Wide Angle, Ultra-Wide Angle Camera with a 100° field-of-view and 1.12µm pixel size.

Performance

The Motorola Edge S is expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 Octa Core Processor. The Motorola Edge S specifications are something like this- it’ll be available with 6 GB, and 8 GB of RAM, and has an inbuilt storage of 128 GB and 256 GB, which can be expanded up to 512 GB; it has a hybrid dual SIM. An Android v11 Operating System and Ardeno 650 graphics, Motorola Edge S is to be powered by a 5000mAh battery and come with 20W Turbo quick charging. Connectivity options on this phone will include GPS, Wi-Fi, 3G, 4G (supports Indian bands), GPRS, EDGE, USB Type-C, and Bluetooth. Fingerprint sensor (is side-mounted), Light sensor, Proximity sensor, Compass, Accelerometer, Gyroscope are some of the sensors that will be present on the phone.
