Micromax IN Note 2

One of the few Indian homegrown brands that are taking a tough fight against global brands is Micromax. Recently, the brand launched its latest and premium device in India - Micromax In Note 2 with a price of Rs. 13,499. The base variant has 4GB RAM and 64GB in-built storage. This newly-launched smartphone gets premium design, quad rear camera, liquid cooling as some of the features. Black and Oak are two color options available for this smartphone.

Design

Featuring a 6.43-inch screen, Micromax In Note 2 comes with an AMOLED bezel-less display with Full HD+ support and 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution. It has a punch hole design with the camera cutout on the top center which we will discuss later in the camera section. The smartphone is capped with a refresh rate of 60 Hz, an aspect ratio of 20:9, a pixel density of 409 PPI, and a peak brightness of 550 nits. The rear panel has a Dazzling Glass Finish that makes it glossy and shiny. The size of the device is 159.9 mm x 74.3 mm x 8.3 mm and the front panel is protected by an unconfirmed version of Corning Gorilla glass.

Camera

The quad rear camera system is led by a 48-megapixel wide-angle sensor. The other three shooters include a 5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a couple of 2-megapixels depth and macro shooters. The device is equipped with a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. Micromax In Note 2 mobile also includes Digital Zoom, Auto Flash, Face detection, and Touch to focus. The image resolution of the rear camera is 8000 x 6000 pixels.

Performance

Under the hood, the smartphone carries the MediaTek Helio G95 processor assembled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of in-built storage. The processor consists of an octa-core Cortex A55 CPU and Mali-G76 MC4 GPU. Micromax In Note 2 runs on Android v11. There is a Li-polymer 5000 mAh fueled in the device with 30W fast charging support. In terms of connectivity, the smartphone gets 4G, 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth v5.0, Mobile Hotspot, Mobile Direct, Dual-SIM connectivity, A-GPS, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The fingerprint sensor is mounted on the rear side of the smartphone for comfortable use.
