Honor 50

Recently, Honor launched the first-ever smartphone that comes with google services as well as apps out of the box in the market - Honor 50. The smartphone rolled out in India in November 2021 with a price of Rs. 34,390. With the sole variant of 8GB RAM paired with 128GB in-built storage, the device comes in four colour options - Frost Crystal, Amber Red, Emerald Green, and Midnight Black. Let us read in detail about the specifications and performance of the recently launched smartphone.

Display

The Honor 50 packs a 6.57-inch OLED display panel with a curved design on either side. The bezel-less display gets a punch-hole cutout that incorporates a front camera. We will discuss more the camera in the next section! For a better and smart screening experience, The smartphone is capped at a 120Hz refresh rate, 392 PPI density, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and 1080 x 2340 pixel resolution. Lastly, the device measures 160 mm x 73.8 mm x 7.7 mm with a weight of 175 g. 

Camera

Let us now talk about the optics of the smartphone! The smartphone features a unique pairing of camera modules that includes two circles. The top circle comprises the single 108-megapixel primary camera while the bottom circle gets three cameras; 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, 2-megapixel depth sensor, and 2-megapixel macro sensor. The 108-megapixel camera utilizes a 9-in-1  pixel binning technique that helps in creating 12-megapixel photographs. The rear camera features include HDR, Continuous shooting, Digital zoom, Face detection, and Touch to focus. As far as the front camera is concerned, the handset gets a single 32-megapixel selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture. 

Performance

The Honor 50 mobile is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor that is further assembled with 8GB RAM and 128GB in-built storage. For graphic requirements, the smartphone gets Adreno 642L GPU. The smartphone runs on Android v11 and is based on Magic UI out of the box. Other Honor 50 specifications are something like this - Li-polymer 4300 mAh with 66W quick charging, USB Type-C charging port and audio jack, On-screen fingerprint sensor, and Variable Rate Shading. The connectivity options are 5G, 4G, 3G, 2G, Bluetooth v5.2, Wi-Fi 802.11, Mobile Hotspot, A-GPS, and NFC.
