Aleister Black has been one of the latest WWE stars to make a sensational return in the episode of Smackdown after WrestleMania 41 on Netflix. He was one of the biggest projects of WWE during his first run in the promotion, and WWE promoted him as a future top star.
He joined the promotion back in 2017, and he had an excellent run in NXT, which is the developmental territory of the promotion. He had also been a former NXT champion. After spending a couple of years in the developmental territory, he joined the main roster in 2019.
This wrestler always showed support to Aleister Black
He was promoted as a mid card and he was doing quite good, but surprisingly in 2021 he was released from the promotion as a part of the budget cut issues due to covid-19 pandemic. Recently, he spoke with the "Wrestling the Rap Game Podcast," where he revealed which former World Champion Kevin Owens always checked up on him and supported him mentally. He said;

"Ended up with me and Kevin having probably one of my favorite matches in WWE ... I remember he powerbombed me through the table, that was the finish but we did the meteora on the chairs which is still like one of my favorite spots, cause like man, Kevin is such a trooper."

"I love working Kevin. Kevin is like, he's fantastic, I don't care, I love Kevin Owens ... he would check on me a lot because during that time mentally I wasn't doing very well. He would check on me a lot. He was always very kind, very friendly and I've known Kevin since the independent days and you know, very cool guy and definitely like a really hard worker."

After getting released from WWE in 2021, the Dutch professional wrestler went to AEW, and spent 4 years under the ring name Malakai Black. He returned to WWE on SmackDown after WrestleMania 41 episode on Netflix and instantly started a feud with former two times World Champion The Miz. Hopefully, he gets a great treatment from WWE this time.
