Mysterio was recently interviewed by Adrian Hernandez where he explained why his entrance from WrestleMania 39 was the best WrestleMania entrance he ever had. Here is what we had to say;

“That was all magic for me. I had no idea what was going down until rehearsal time. When I saw the rehearsal and they told me, I was like, ‘Really, I’m part of this?’ It was crazy. I was already in another mindset, the fact that I was going to wrestle my son. My nerves were at 100%.

"I was nervous for myself. I was nervous for my son. I was because I had a lot of family there. Just hoped that everything turned out the way you envision. Snoop gave me that sense of calmness. Stepping into the whip with him and making that short entrance, those three songs mixed together is historical. It’s legendary for me.”

The first ever father vs son match in WrestleMania history was wins McMahon vs Shane McMahon from WrestleMania 17. The fans had to wait for 22 long years to see the next father - son match at WrestleMania. Rey had a special entrance at the event where Eddie Guerrero's entrance theme was also played prior to his own entrance theme. It may not be remembered as one of the best WrestleMania matches ever but it will have historic significance.
