WhatsApp, the popular messaging app, has started testing the new interface design introduced mainly for users using iPhone devices. This design is called the "Liquid Glass Interface" and is said to be clad in modernity, per announced smoothness and user-friendliness.

What Will It Look Like?
In the application of WhatsApp's new Liquid Glass design, a user would find:
Transparent and gradient background light effects;
Smooth transitions and animations;
Redesigned chat bubbles;
Completely revamped tabs and menus.
It is also designed in accordance with Apple's iOS design language so that it feels at home and aesthetically pleasing in iPhone users' eyes.
Beta Testing
Currently, only the iOS beta users of WhatsApp can access this Liquid Glass interface. The gradual roll-out of the interface has been planned by the parent company, Meta, so as to make improvements based on user feedback.
Thousands of beta users from across the globe can now enjoy the new design, and initial batch feedback has been very positive.
What Called for The Design Change in WhatsApp?
The competition among most messaging apps today has increased tremendously. They have all been changing and updating their UIs; among them are Telegram, iMessage, and Signal, all vying to be current in this ever-changing world of messaging applications, and it has taken a step to ensure their design meets current trends and user-friendliness on mobile.
This update was made to most effectively utilize the new screen design of iOS 17 and the iPhone 15 series.

When Will It Be Available to the Wider Public?
Meta did not give any official statement regarding the specific date when the new interface will be fully rolled out to all iPhone users. However, reports say that, if the test continues without any glitches, it may reach normal users sometime in Q4 2025.
