The famous messaging app, WhatsApp, has added Motion Photos or Live Photos functionality for all Android users in the beta version. Through this feature, users can now send little moving pictures instead of moving one or more still images, that have made the whole messaging experience feel alive.

What Exactly Are Motion Photos?

"Motion Photos" supports orientation in functionality. It provides unexpected animated gifs of stored images at unknowingly captured images of smiling faces, gestures, or a wink for a few milliseconds. Over the years, this feature has been incorporated into Google Photos, some Android devices, and Pixel phones, but has now come into a larger scope with it being part of it.

How Does It Work?

After the beta version has been updated, sending an image attached with a Motion Photo will automatically deliver it like a short motion video. It has Motion Photos format compatibility from Android, and when the receiver has their app updated, that person will see that motion also.

Benefit To Users

Natural experience: Moving images appear almost livelier than static photographs.

Momentary emotions: Such tiny fractions of special moments, such as smiles, gestures, or twinkling, can easily be captured.

Instant sharing: Of course, sharing these lovely moments in smaller sizes without sending larger video files.

How To Get The New WhatsApp update?

This is limited to Beta users currently. If you are a WhatsApp Beta user, then you can update to the latest version of WhatsApp from the Google Play Store. This feature should soon find its way to the stable version within a few weeks.

This new feature has added a new dimension to messaging. Sending images in Motion Photos now has more feelings and animation. If you haven't used the beta yet, you should try this new element out.
