Rumours are ripe that Vivo is preparing to launch a successor to their very popular V series Phone - The upcoming V60 would be a direct descendant of the highly successful V50 which was launched early this year on February 2025.
All the whispers:
On Tuesday, a tipster suggested that the Vivo V60 will launch in India on August 19. Now, another tipster has shared key specifications and colour options of the rumoured handset. The tipster has also shared renders of the phone, which suggests its design.
Tipster Yogesh Brar (@heyitsyogesh), in a post on X (formerly Twitter) has suggested that the V60 could be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, paired with a 6,500mAh battery pack. The same report also mentioned that the phone was found listed on the SIRIM and TUV websites, hinting that the handset could support 90W fast charging.
Vivo V60 shall carry the legacy forward:
Brar suggests that the upcoming smartphone will continue the brand’s focus on photography, possibly offering 50MP cameras, although the exact camera configuration remains unclear. The leaked renders point to a triple rear camera setup, arranged uniquely within a pill-shaped camera island with an additional lens and LED flash positioned alongside it. ZEISS is embosed within the pill establishing the collaboration between the two companies that have existed for a while now.
Brar also hinted at the possible colour options for the phone. The company could offer the Vivo V60 in three colourways - Mist Grey, Moonlit Blue, and Auspicious Gold.
Rumour also has it that the company could debut their premium OriginOS, which is based on Android 16. V60 could be the first phone to come to India with this new OS replacing the FunTouch OS.
V50 is still a great choice:
Vivo V50 - The phone sports a 6.77-inch quad-cureved AMOLED display with full-HD+ resolutions, up to 120Hz refresh rate. Qualcomm's Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset powers the handset, along with a large 6,000mAh battery and supports 90W wired fast charging. For cameras, the V50 features a dual rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary shooter and a 50-megapixel ultrawide lens. It also gets a 50-megapixel selfie camera at the front.
