Vivaldi, a popular web browser, is now rolling out its 7.4 updates for Android, iOS and iPadOS. The new updates include the redesigned tab bar with improved tab management, background audio playback on iOS and few Reader view settings with universal privacy.

What Does The Redesigned Tab Bar Mean?
With the new updates, there is a new “Floating Tabs” feature on the desktop. The active websites are now separated from the address bar and will feature hard outlines. The floating tab includes long-pressing a tab in the name of tab management actions. The items that were visual in the tab bar are now more visually distinct than before.
Another Feature That Has Been Added to Vivaldi 7.4
This new 7.4 update includes some new features in the tab management section that is tab pinning and stacking. These two tab management features are under the long-press. On the left side of the tab bar, the pinned tabs will stick, and the stacked tab is similar to the “grouped” tabs on the desktop browser of desktop.
But both of the features are only for iOS users. Android users get a new list view option, which is scrollable. This is for the full-page Tab Switcher.

Another Feature Added for iOS.
The new tab management added a useful feature that is “allow media playback in the background”. It will allow you to play music in the background while the phone is locked to YouTube. This feature you can enable from the browser’s “general” settings. Otherwise, you can go through the “privacy and security” settings to enable “Don’t open links in external apps.” this option if you choose then the YouTube website will not kick you over to the YouTube app.
YouTube allows background playback, but only for premium subscribers. So it will try to block.
This updated version is available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. The new Vivaldi desktop updates include improved keyboard and keyboard shortcuts.
