Changes in This Case

People used to go to the enrollment center to register their phone number, waste hours just filling forms, biometrics, and waiting for plates and passports.

Number update will be from today's home with UIDAI App. OTP (one-time password) and face authentication. This kind of system shall be very beneficial to the elderly or poorer persons or people living remote areas.

Steps How to Change Mobile Number

Get the latest mAadhaar App on your phone because it will compatible on Android as well as iOS.

Open the UIDAI app and select either "Update My Aadhaar" or "Update Mobile Number."

Enter your current Aadhaar number and new mobile number-the system will send an OTP to the new number. The OTP will have to be verified.
After OTP verification, you will have to confirm your identity through face authentication. This will confirm the number change.

This is if this method is in place-the hassle of going to the center, standing in line, everything has been made redundant.
