Today, any PC gamer can play any recent WWE video game whenever they want. Ever since 2K took the rights of the WWE video game from THQ, they have started to release all the games on PC. How it is millions of gamers can be found who use PC as a gaming platform, but previously the picture was quite different.

The first ever WWE video game, which is Micro League Wrestling released for MS-DOS, so it can be considered that the game was available for PC. Another video game name WWF European Rampage Tour, in 1992, was also available on MS-DOS. During the 90s there were a number of games were released for MS-DOS, like WrestleMania The Arcade Game, and WWF In Your House.

But the major titles of the time like WWF Royal Rumble and WWF RAW (1994) were only console releases and never for PC ports. In 1998, WWE saw its first 3D game in the form of WWF War Zone which was only released for PlayStation and Nintendo 64. After this release, back to back 3D games were released for various consoles.

Nintendo 64 and PlayStation used to get different games for their systems. THQ started to publish all these games. There were big WWE game series like SmackDown and Smackdown vs RAW were the hot happening things throughout the 2000s. But none of these games were ever released on PC.

The only video game that was released for PC was WWE Raw back in 2002 which was also available on Xbox. But it was a terrible experience as it was an unfinished game with no season mode and not enough special match types. In 2003 per sequel to this game was released by the name WWE RAW 2, but it was an Xbox exclusive and never released on PC.

Nowadays, every WWE video game under 2K gets PC ports

Those who wanted to play WWE games on PC had a terrible time throughout the 2000s and 2010s, even during the early 2020s. In 2014, 2K took the right of WWE games following the bankruptcy of THQ, and from the very first day, they started to release WWE video games for PC and from WWE 2K15, all WWE games are available on PC.

For some reason to THQ never took PC as a consideration to release WWE games, which can be considered a terrible choice. People may argue that WWE 2K14 was also released under the banner of 2K but it was not released on PC. Actually, the game was completely finished under THQ, just before the release of this game, 2K bought the rights.
