Sony’s PS5 is among the popular gaming consoles and the Japanese technology giant keeps updating the device with periodic OS and software updates. A new PS5 update has been unveiled by Sony that fetches users plenty of new features. The enhancements are mostly in the areas of social sharing, audio and accessibility. The update is well-timed given the holiday season ahead and a number of new game releases on the cards. Several features in the update are taken from the newest PS5 beta.
PS5 users will need quite some time to check out and fathom the new update. The new audio options include 3D Audio support on supported Dolby Atmos-enabled devices with HDMI. Now, PS5 supports enhanced capacity M.2 SSDs. Moreover, players can now customize their multiplayer sessions in some new ways. Another highlight of the update is additional Android devices supporting the PS Remote Play feature. This enables users to stream games directly from the PS5 console to Android smartphones and tablets over Wi-Fi and the web.
The new PS5 update comes with enhanced Voice Command support, too. Now, you can use Voice Command to access and control numerous PlayStation features. However, the new Voice Command features are now restricted only to users in the UK and the USA. A number of PS App enhancements will be unveiled soon, said Sony. Users will be able to use emojis to revert to messages and enable System UI Haptic Feedback.
