Tech giant Xiaomi announces the launch of Xring01, the company's first ever self manufactured mobile chip. The chip is about to launch in late May of 2025.
What is the Tech Company Aiming for?

This news is circulating after Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun makes the announcement on his Weibo account on Thursday itself. Although no further details is known.
This is Xiaomi's smart step towards developing self reliant mobile processor primarily focusing basic and simple chip responsible for power management and image sensoring.
Why is this Sudden Shift in Company's Stunt?
This shift in the company's approach does not come as a sudden stunt. Chinese smartphone market is witnessing severe rise in competition from the last few years. Few tech companies like Huawei, Apple and some more have already entered the policy of self making chips.
Custom-designing chipset under self banner are now a common trend style among the tech giants. This mainly targets to improve the in-house integration of the company's structure.
Is it Giving a Positive Outcome?

The companies are aiming or rather performing this new pattern of production to enhance the experience of it's users. And the recent market report states this as an effective trend the companies are following or have set.
A Quick Look at Companies who are into Self-reliant Chipset Production
This self manufacturing process dates back to 2010 with Apple first starting to design it's customisation chipset for the first-gen iPhone 4 and iPads respectively. A4 chip was the first of their production bucket.
And now at present Apple uses it's own silicon chips mainly in three respective categories. The M chipset for the range of MacBook and iPad. The S range of chipset is built only for the Apple Smartwatches and for the iPhone range chipset A is primarily used along with iPads as well.
