Stephanie McMahon is widely regarded as one of the best business women in professional wrestling history but she was an active professional wrestling at a point in WWE as well and she was even a former WWE Women's champion. During the Attitude Era of the promotion, she competed regularly in the ring.

Two of the most famous names of the Attitude Era of the promotion, Trish Stratus and Lita, both were top rivals of Stephanie during her in ring career. She even created history when she main evented Monday Night RAW with Lita. She did not have a very long career in the ring but she had been pretty impressive even in a short time period.

One of her signature moves was the Princess Slap which she used thoroughly during her in ring career. The move looked quite disrespectful towards her opponents. Recently she revealed how she got the idea of using the Princess Slap as one of her signature moves. During her recent appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, she revealed;

"The slap was when I became a character and when I became a heel." She revealed, "I don’t remember what my first slap was, but I remember the advice that I was told. All the boys were like, ‘You’ve gotta lay it in, Steph. You’ve got to lay it in and it’s got to look good.'"

She also revealed how she got encouraged by the locker room, "Make sure you don’t pop anybody’s eardrum. You’ve got to hit them in a particular spot, but hit them hard." She stated, “That’s how the slap kind of started. Foley, Jericho, I got (too)." Said Stepanie, "One time, DX was holding Jericho, I forget the storyline, but I was going over to slap Chris, and he like winced and all the guys thought it was so funny. They made me wait and let him wince. Then they had me slap him."

After 2001 Stephanie McMahon was talked to working regularly in the ring and she mostly portrayed non wrestling characters like the General Manager of Smackdown during the early days of the initial brand extension. Of course, she had irregular feuds and matches with the likes of Sable and Brie Bella. She even had a match with her own father at the No Mercy event of 2003. Presently she is retired from professional wrestling.
