Camera Software Improvements
Computational photography is one of the biggest plus points for the Pixel phones. Samsung, however, is working extremely hard to improve its camera software with special reference to Nightography, AI imaging enhancement, and ProVisual Engine. The new Galaxy S series of phones now, in many instances, gives better detail, low-light performance, and color profile than ever.
Software and Long-Term Support
It had a terrible reputation in the past with its software update policies. However, to give them their due, they have now gone on record affirming seven years of updates for new Android versions and security patches, a boast that only now seems credible, along with Pixel phones. By this, they have managed to pull ahead with Google even in a few respects.
All said and done, Galaxy is gradually sweeping into another of Google Pixel's greatest advantages: AI, camera, and software support. If this continues, Samsung may soon put up a challenge to that Pixel monopoly. Certainly, an excellent time for any prospective buyer to weigh his options in the smartphone market.
