Samsung's A series is gaining quite a lot of popularity in the budget and mid-range classes. A few leaked renders recently confirmed that Samsung will be launching its brand new smartphone, the Galaxy A17. From the leaked images, the design of the phone and several key specifications have been brought to light.
Design and Renders
From the renders, the Galaxy A17 will have a design that is just sleek and simple. A flat back panel will have three camera sensors and an LED flash, separately placed. Clean-cut minimalist design, reminiscent of Samsung.
It will sport an Infinity U display notch in front, indicating that there is a front camera selfie shooter. Above, the volume rocker and power button have been seen on the right side, probably in unison with a fingerprint scanner.
Expected Specifications
The company is yet to announce the specifications of the aforementioned product; however, the leaked specifications suggest that:
Display: 6.7-inch PLS LCD panel.
Processor: Mid-range MediaTek Helio G series or Exynos 1380 chipset.
RAM and storage: 6GB RAM + 128GB storage.
Camera: Triple camera setup with 50MP primary sensor.
Battery: A 5,000mAh battery with 25 W fast charging support.
OS: Android 14, topped with One UI 6.1.
Color Options and Challenges
The grayscale renders of the Galaxy A17 hint toward the availability of Black, Blue, and Light Green colors. The smartphone is most likely to feature a glossy finish for the back panel, but it has not been confirmed whether it will be plastic or glass.
Launch Time & Expected Pricing of Samsung Galaxy A17
A launch date for the phone has not yet been announced. However, rumors state that it could go on sale anywhere between August and September 2025. The price is rumored to be in the range of Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 17,000.
