Over the years, Rockstar Games has produced some amazing titles. Without any doubt, the biggest franchise introduced by this video game company is Grand Theft Auto, which is more famous by the GTA series. The company made its debut in the world of video games with the first ever GTA game back in 1999.
GTA is not be only franchise that Rockstar Games has produced. Apart from the GTA series, the company has also produced top franchises like the Red Dead series and the Midnight series. Red Dead is one of their premier franchises, and it is still going quite strong.

But there is another series that the company takes the responsibility of producing, and that is the famous Max Payne series, which is not much remembered to this date. The last part of the series was released back in 2012, and since then, the series has been pretty much dead.

The first title of the series was released back in July 2001, and instantly it became a huge sensation because of its combat mechanism, and this action adventure game was favored by a huge audience. With the rising success of the first part, in October 2003, they released Max Payne 2, which became an even bigger hit.

There had been no mention of the series for nearly a decade until the company finally decided to create its final part, Max Payne 3. It is not much favoured by the Max Payne fans as it is quite different from the previous parts. The combat felt more like GTA than the first two parts of the Max Payne series.

Max Payne 3 was pretty much it for the series, and they decided to close it forever. However, presently there are rumours of either a fourth installment in the series, or there is another rumour which is stronger, and that is a potential remake of the first two titles.
