Qualcomm has confirmed that the next version of Snapdragon will launch in September 2025 for Huawei. In this event, the company will announce its new chipset, Snapdragon 8 Elite 2. This new version is earlier than the previous release by this company. This news is released by a chat station. And the device that will be powered by this chipset will arrive in October 2025 as expected.

The new Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 will be made using the new 3nm N3P process. It is made with second-generation Oryon CPU cores that are arranged in a 2+6 core layout. It is equipped with the Arm’s Scalable Matrix Extension, in short SME1, and Scalable Vector Extension 2, in short SVE2. The GPU that will be used in this chipset is the Adrenoo 840 GPU. The company says that the form of the GPU is 30% faster than the previous one. The cache in this GPU has been increased from 12MB to 16 MB.

The NPU Use in This Chipset

The NPU that is used in this chipset is said will reach up to 100 TOPS. The latest Copilot Surface Laptop 13 features a 45 TOPS NPU. The memory is supported by LPDDR5X and LPDDR6. It results in higher speeds and better flexibility.

What do the Benchmark Results indicate?

26 percent to 30 percent performance will increase rather than the predecessor, as per the early Benchmark result. Better thermal management and sustainable performance are likely to give because of the new architecture and process node.

Samsung is the brand, and most of the handsets use the chipset from Qualcomm. But in the Galaxy S26 series, the company will not use the chipset by Qualcomm chipset. The Galaxy S26 series will use the Exynos 2600 chipset for all of the handsets.
