Since its inception some years back, Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus has managed to create a niche and its fanbase keeps growing. After wooing a major chunk of premium segment users and capturing a good amount of midrange Android users, the company is now targeting tablet users. The first OnePlus tablet, named OnePlus Tab received good reviews but its steep pricing did not find traction among entry-level tablet users. Now, the company is set to unveil a more affordable tablet, presumably named as OnePlus Pad Go.
As per the updates, the upcoming OnePlus Pad Go will be launched on October 6. While the device will have many similarities with the pricier sibling released earlier, its hardware may be somewhat toned down to cater to affordable tablet users better. The design renders leaked online reveal similarities in build style and design. The camera layout looks similar as does the curved-edge design. It will get a metal and glossy surface along with a mint green color.
The upcoming Android tablet will get a single camera at the back but it will have 4 speakers. Kinder Liu, the OnePlus COO said the device will get a TUV Rheinland certified screen with 2.4K resolution. The device is going to compete with the Samsung Galaxy Tab A Series and Nokia T21. It will be launched on Flipkart, apart from the OnePlus online store.
