The OnePlus Buds 4 look very premium with an aluminum finish, tiny case, and good fit in the ear. The cover does feel very light in weight and the earplugs are comfortable for quite some time in the ear. With an in-ear rating of IP55, they can resist a spongy drizzle and little sweats too.

Sound Quality: Good But Nothing Ahead

An 11 mm dynamic driver beats the more or less balanced sound of this Buds 4. Bass is strong enough, but majorly lacks in the very low-end frequencies. Mids and highs are clear but not really something to write home about for High-Fi sound enthusiasts. With the Audio ID 2.0, you may tune the sound to your liking.

Noise Cancellation and Microphone Performance of OnePlus Buds 4

OnePlus Buds 4's ANC is capable enough to drown nearly 45 decibels of sound, making it good for shutting out daily metropolitan noise or some minor office noises, but doesn't anywhere reach the design and performance levels of some of the high-end ANC from Sony and Bose. Calls are clear due to four AI-backed microphones.

Battery and Charging: Fairly Solid

Some 5.5 hours of playback are available with ANC, while 9 hours without ANC; the case gives a total battery life of 44 hours. The Warp Charge option of gaining about 7 hours of battery support from just 10 minutes of charging is commendable too.

App Support and Connectivity

All the customization related to the Buds 4 can be operated through the Hey Melody app. Device connection works stable with Bluetooth 5.4, and easy switching between them.

Fairly Priced But Not Dope

This Buds 4 is for someone like an exhibitionist who feels he has to flaunt his pump-up features at a fair price. Not for its put-to-good-use in sound quality or ANC, but in all fairness it is a good bargain for all those already with OnePlus or those yearning for a pseudo premium feel at a stellar price.
