Ninja Gaiden is one of the longest running franchises in the history of video games. Over the years, there have been countless titles of this video game series. It had been one of the most delivered video game franchises ever, and it is famous from its very first day.
The first installment of this video game series was released back in 1988 on the Arcade. With its immense success, Tecmo, the developer and the publisher of the game, decided to release it on NES, which was the hottest console back then. Needless to say, it became a huge success on the NES, too.
Ninja Gaiden 4 is closing in on its release
In only 2 years’ time, Tecmo came up with the second part of the video game, and it was also a huge success. In around 1 year's time, Tecmo released Ninja Gaiden 3, much like its first two counterparts, this game had also been a huge hit. Two more versions of this game were released next, one for Game Boy and the other one was for Sega Master System.
Ninja Gaiden series was introduced back in 1988
The fans could not wait any longer for the 4th official installment in the series. But unfortunately, Tecmo most stopped the franchise, which raised a lot of eyebrows. In 2004, they finally decided to reboot the series with a new game called Ninja Gaiden, and it was exclusive for the Xbox.
Ninja Gaiden 4 is scheduled to release on Q3/Q4
The fans love the new version of Ninja Gaiden and the first 3D experience of this series. It also spawned a total of 4 expansions. In 2008, Ninja Gaiden 2 was released exclusively for Xbox 360, which also had a number of expansions. Ninja Gaiden 3 was released in 2012, followed by a number of expansions.

Finally, Ninja Gaiden 4 had been announced, and the announcement trailer was also released on YouTube. It showed footage from the gameplay which had similarities with its previous parts. For the newer users, it may feel like a little bit of Devil May Cry. The release date of this game is not revealed yet, but it looks like Ninja Gaiden 4 will be released by Q3/Q4 of this year. The game will be available on all the major platforms.
