Only a few months after the iPhone 15 line-up has passed. The new leaks on the upcoming iPhone 16 line-up are already out, making geeks excited. While the launch time for the iPhone 16 series is still far away, that does not stop geeks and gadget lovers from finding newer information on it. As per the leaks, the iPhone 16 models will get bigger displays and will match that of their flagship Android rivals. Another report also hinted at Apple using advanced OLED panels with micro-lens technology for better power efficiency and brightness.
Another notable change expected to be introduced in the upcoming iPhone 16 lineup is the elimination of the famous Dynamic Island. The iPhone 16 line-up will get the punch-hole display, something Android phones have been using for years. The iPhone 16 series may get 4 variants and the expected launch date is late 2024. However, it is still too early to say anything with absolute finality, given the time. As expected, Apple is mum on these subjects.
It would be interesting to see the impact of removing the much-touted Dynamic Island feature that was introduced first on the iPhone 14 series. The Dynamic Island is where the front-facing camera and Face ID sensors exist. It is also used to display notifications, manage audio playback etc. Apart from the dynamic island exclusion, the upcoming iPhone 16 series will also get newer chips inside. Apple may still retain the tried and tested Snapdragon X70 modem in the models.
