Netflix has started a unique story where they are portraying the crime drama based on every major state of India, and how the police investigated these activities and tracked them down. The name of this series is Khakee, and it started its journey back in November 2022.
The series made its debut in 2022 with the Bihar chapter being the centre of its attraction. The story of the Bihar Chapter is based on Bihar Diaries: The True Story of How Bihar's Most Dangerous Criminal Was Caught, written by the respected IPS officer Amit Lodha.

The story focused on the atrocities committed by the Ashok Mahto gang in Bihar and how it terrorised the districts of Bihar. It also showed why it is so challenging for the police to fight these goons and also how the police finally took down the whole thing with respected IPS officer Amit Lodha leading the police.
The Bengal chapter, on the other hand, was a fictional story, and it is mostly based on Kolkata. It is more of a political crime drama is with even the CM of Bengal shown involved in the story. Neeraj Pandey did a marvelous job in both seasons, and both of them happened to be extremely engaging.

Now let us come to the comparison between the two seasons, which one is better and more engaging? First of all, I need to clarify that this is my personal opinion, and yours might differ from mine. The Bengal chapter had better star power, and most of the cast worked from Bengal only. The Bihar Chapter, on the other hand, did not focus on the Bhojpuri stars who are the biggest things in Bihar.

But it feels bad to be a Bengali myself, the Bihar Chapter is definitely a better story than the Bengal chapter on Netflix. First of all, the Bihar chapter seemed more real as it had been a real story, secondly, the fictitious story of Bengal would have been taken from an existing literature. Bengal has always been the hub of literature and also crime. So answer is simple; Khakee, the Bihar Chapter of Netflix, told a better story than the Bengal chapter.
