Samsung continues to be among the top players in the Android tablet segment, with offerings aimed at both budget and high-end users. Its Galaxy Tab A series of tablets is aimed primarily at tablet users seeking productivity and entertainment within a modest budget. Some details of the upcoming Galaxy Tab A9 leaked online previously and now more details on its specs and features have been revealed. These new leaks hint that the launch date may not be far.
The upcoming Galaxy Tab A9 has now been found on the well-known BIS certification website. This means an Indian launch is near. Reportedly, the upcoming Android tablet will be powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 SoC. If that indeed takes place, the device will offer enhanced performance than segment rivals and its predecessors. The Helio G99 SoC has been made on a 6nm process and it supports better gaming and imaging. The bundled GPU is the Mali-G57 MC2, ideal for mid-range gaming.
The Galaxy Tab A9 will have the model number SM-X115, as per the BIS Certification and its spec sheet is also impressive. The tablet will offer support for FM, Bluetooth, GPS, and Wi-Fi along with 5G networks. The reports suggest it will have a 5,100mAh battery with a 15W fast charging adapter dandled. However, the pricing of the tablet is still not known.
