Improvements are always in the process through updates to the iOS by Apple, but sometimes it is these app settings that suck in battery power. So, if you are an iPhone user and have been observing the battery drains more than usual, chances are you might also want to check if these three settings drain the battery. Quickly turn them off and be rewarded with battery backup.

Disable Background App Refresh
Some iPhone apps refresh data in the background method which wastes battery for all occasions. For example, even when you are not using WhatsApp or Facebook, they keep updating data in the background, thus continuously draining the battery.
How to Turn It Off
Open Settings > General > Background App Refresh.
Here, tap to turn off "Background App Refresh" altogether or keep it enabled for those apps you need.
Limit Location Services in Your iPhone
GPS or location services must be some of the major battery killers for the iPhone. When too many apps are requesting location acquisition, the phone will tend to lose battery much faster.
How to turn it off
Settings> Privacy & Security> Location Services
Then click on certain apps and select "While Using the App" or "Never".
Scroll down to System Services and toggle off unnecessary options like "Location-Based Apps" and "Location-Based Apple Ads".
Set Email to Fetch Rather Than Push
If the handset continues to check for new emails every minute, it is somewhat taxing to the battery. Disabling Push Email and changing it to Fetch for retrieving emails will greatly help conserve battery.
How to turn it off:
Settings> Mail> Accounts> Fetch New Data
From this list, turn off Push.
Then, select the Fetch time interval at the bottom: every 15 minutes or 1 hour.

Additional Measures
Turn off the always-on display (For iPhone 14 Pro & Later)
Set display brightness to auto mode.
Remove unused widgets
To improve the battery life, one needs some fine-tuning of select settings. Turn these three settings off, and there will be a marked improvement in the phone's battery power. So, implement this little change right away, and your phone will bless you!
