Microsoft held the much-awaited Surface Event yesterday and the revelations have made headlines. The Surface Laptop Go 3 and Surface Laptop Studio 2 stole much of the limelight at the event but the company also hinted at another upcoming contender in the line-up. That is going to be the Surface Go 4.
The predecessor, Surface Go 3 was launched 2 years back and did not gain much traction. It was let down by issues like short battery life and lack of processing power. The upcoming Surface Go 4 may help Microsoft redeem itself. However, it is available for only business customers, now.
As per tech experts, the upcoming Surface Go 4, aimed at business users, may be priced above $550. The device has inherited some useful features from its predecessor such as a 1080p Full HD webcam, an 8MP FHD rear-facing sensor, and lightweight. The Type Cover however does not come in the box. It costs an additional $129.99 but that is what can turn the device into a functional laptop. The device has a 10.5-inch FHD touch screen but the bezels are still not thin.
To woo target users better, Microsoft has made the device easier to repair with a replaceable battery, motherboard and kickstand. Now it ships with 8GB RAM, and UFS storage ranges from 64- 256 GB. It's powered by a quad-core Intel Processor N200 and Intel UHD Graphics. Microsoft says the Surface Go 4 will have an average battery life of 12.5 hours.
