India's most-acclaimed chip maker, MediaTek, would definitely forge ahead with more clever and energy-saving functions incorporated in Android smartphones next year. The company declares that its next-gen chipset shall be endowed with state-of-the-art smart AI functions for fast and effective but energy-efficient AI performance.

Now, AI in smartphones is not restricted to just cameras or voice assistants. It tends to take an important position in battery optimization of the phone, real-time translation, game performance, and even safety systems. This makes consumption of high-quality hardware requirements on state-of-the-art technologies and on-the-go battery-friendly performance, all of which MediaTek's new chip promises.

The Next In Dimen

It is also believed that its new chip is to be part of the Dimensity series, which has already successfully run mid-range and high-end phones. More than that, the chip will feature a new NPU (Neural Processing Unit) that speeds up the performance of AI workloads to twice that of the previous one while also reducing the energy consumption to such levels.

Next-Generation Improvements of MediaTek for AI Capabilities

It states that the next chipset will take advances in:

AI camera capabilities: smart beauty mode improvements, night modes, and simulated bokeh effects are among others.

Language translation in real time, which will be offline.

AI gaming optimization: better gaming experience without lag.

Battery control using AI, which would enable the phone to remain charged longer.

Resourceful Opinions from Experts

MediaTek has now clearly entered a hostile scenario wherein high competition would be pitched against Qualcomm with respect to AI performance at low power, rendering Android manufacturers like Xiaomi, Realme, Oppo, and Vivo a more favorable environment for developing more AI-centric devices in the market.

Its next chip generation would cause Android smartphones that come out in 2025 to become smart, energy-efficient, and lovelier to users.
