Even as users are getting accustomed to smartphones with folding displays, LG, the Korean electronics giant has taken a leap forward and launched a laptop with a foldable screen! The newly launched Gram Fold is a futuristic laptop aimed at the technology-enthusiastic lot. Apart from the unique foldable screen the laptop also manages to stand out in the crowd owing to its superior hardware. The model comes laden with the newest 13th-generation Intel Core CPUs.
Available only in its home turf, South Korea, the LG Gram Fold has a beefy Intel Core i5-1335U chip inside, which is also aided by an ample 16 GB of RAM. For storage, you get a fast 512MB SSD. The display is as good as one can expect at this price point. It is a 17-inch screen with a maximum supported resolution of 2560x1920 pixels. Fold it down and the 12-inch display sports a resolution of 1920x1280 pixels. As expected, the screen supports both touch and pen inputs. Windows Hello facial recognition is there as well.
With the Gram Fold, you get a handy Bluetooth keyboard. This lets you make optimal use of the entire screen real estate. It is also possible to snap the keyboard when the laptop is in folded position. The device is powered by a 72Wh battery and a 65W power adapter is provided too. Connectivity-wise, users get little to complain about. There are USB-C ports.
The laptop running Windows 11 sells for approximately $3,728. However, there are costlier rivals like those from the stable of HP. It is not known if LG will launch outside of the home turf, ever.
