Lenovo is keen on grabbing a share of the PC and handheld gaming market, as is clear from its new moves. After unveiling a new gaming laptop under the Legion series, the Chinese technology giant has now launched a handheld gaming device named the Legion Go. The handheld gaming PC comes with some impressive specs and it will go on sale by end of October. The price of $699.99 is not too steep. Now, you can opt for pre-ordering the device.
The Legion Go is pitted against the Asus ROG Ally. It runs a customized edition of Windows 11 Home. You can therefore use non-Steam launchers. This gives it an edge over rivals like the Steam Deck. The device also gets a nifty trackpad, making navigation smoother. Legion Go also gets a set of detachable controllers and a sturdy kickstand. This makes the gaming experience more flexible and versatile. Thanks to the Ryzen Z1 Extreme SoC and 16 GB RAM, the gaming experience will be good.
The Legion Go races ahead of rivals like the Ally for its bright 8.8-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels. It offers support for a microSD card, too. The only thing that may look like a downer is its weight. At 1.9 pounds, it is not very lightweight. You get an additional USB Type-C port that supports USB 4.0 connectivity. Another separate audio combo port is there.
