Leica, the iconic camera brand has unveiled the Sofort 2, a new instant camera that offers the best of digital and analog technologies. This is the successor to the first generation Sofort, released 7 years back. You can send photos from Leica Fotos smartphone app to this device for printing. This covers images snapped with other Leica models too.
There is no denying the new Sofort 2 looks stylish. The identical boxy shape is there and the corners are rounded. You get the well-known Leica red dot logo. This camera is available in 3 hues- red, black, and white. You get access to plenty of shooting modes with dedicated buttons for ease of usage. These modes are- selfie, landscape, and macro.
The Sofort 2 is durable and features a polycarbonate frame. At 320 grams, it is not exactly lightweight but still compact enough to be carried around. The company has used a USB 3.1 Gen1 Type-C port in it. The device can store 45 images but the capacity can be augmented through its microSD/microSDHC card slot.
The Sofort 2 allows users to make good use of their creativity. You get access to 10 film effects and 10 lens. The creative effects include light leak, mirror, soft focus, blur, vignette, half-frame, fisheye etc. The inbuilt Leica Summar 2.4mm f/2 lens captures images at 4.9 megapixels.
