The iPhone 17 lineup is set to launch in September this year with a few interesting new features. The plus model could be replaced by the new iPhone 17 Air model, but the rest of the models are the same as the previous lineup: the standard iPhone 17 model, along with Pro and Pro Max.

A Camera Bar That Is Redesigned for the iPhone 17 Pro Model
The Pro models could get a redesigned camera panel this time. Like the previous Pro models, this time, there will be the same triple camera setup but on a bigger camera island that stretches edge to edge. There could be a big gap between the lenses, flash, and LiDAR sensor. Because of a new camera sensor inside, this camera panel could look like this.
Selfie Camera That Features a 24 MP lens
This whole 17-lineup, Apple could be doubling the front-facing camera resolution. The previous lineup was equipped with a 12MP front-facing camera, but this time it could be a 24MP sensor. That means it will be much clearer and more detailed selfies that will be able to capture every moment in detail, and the video calls will look clearer and more vibrant.
48MP New Periscope Telephoto Sensor
Jumping from 12MP to a 48MP periscope lens could feature this new lineup's Pro model. It will offer 10x zoom and much better quality for low-light shots, along with long-distance shots.
Glare-Free Display
Apple is working on a tougher screen with an anti-reflective coating. This reflective coating protects from drop resistance and scratches. And provides less glare outdoors.
Video Recording At 8K
For the first time, Apple could finally bring 8K video recording to Pro models. If it could happen, then it will be Apple’s long-awaited upgrades for Pro models that have been needed for a while.
Aluminium Frame
As per rumors, Apple could bring an aluminium frame instead of a titanium frame for the Pro series. iPhone 15 and 16 Pros had titanium frames, while iPhone X to 14 Pros used stainless steel. The back panel might get a “part-aluminium, part-glass” design. But the titanium frame looks high-end.
12GB of RAM
Because of the AI, more RAM is needed. The Pro and Pro Max models could get 12GB of RAM. That is the first time for iPhones. This bigger size RAM helps AI run smoother, and multitasking will also get faster. The 16 lineup maximum out at 8GB of RAM.
Wi-Fi 7 Chipset By Apple Itself
This time, Apple is working on its in-house modems for 5G and Wi-Fi. The 17 Pro and Pro Max could debut with a combo of Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth chip this time. And the rest of the lineup possibly gets the same chip.
A19 Pro Chip
The 17 Pro, as usual, will get the new chipset that should be the A19 chipset. That was built on TSMC’s third Gen 3nm process.
Cooling System Will Also Get Better
The 17 Pro Max Will pack a vapor chamber and a sheet of graphite. This cooling system stops the device from overheating and for smoother performance.
