Release Date of This Upcoming Lineup
For the last several years, Apple has announced its new mobiles in September. And for this new lineup, it is likely to happen the same, except the 17E, which could release in early 2026, according to Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
This lineup is the last release that will follow the fall-release project. The next lineup, iPhone 1,8, is likely to release its base models in the first half of the year and the higher-end models later in the year. But this isn’t going to happen until 2026. Preorders will take the Friday after the announcement, and the shipping will happen a week later.
Price of This New Lineup
Trump’s tariff project could affect the cost of this upcoming lineup. Apple could move US production from China to India, so this new lineup has escaped the tariff hike, and it’s only possible for a reciprocal tariff exception list that includes many laptops, phones, and other electronic gadgets produced by Apple.
Still, all the reprives are temporary, so reciprocal tariffs could still affect prices for this new lineup. Trump gave threats to Apple with a 25% tariff on all models made outside the country in a social media post on May 23. On the next day, he said that all the smartphones, not just the Apple mobiles, are likely to hit a 25% tariff by the end of June if they don’t move their manufacturing operations to the US.
Apple plans to raise the price later this year for better features and designs, as reported by the Wall Street Journal.
New Color Options
Majin Bu posted that the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max could get a sky blue color option. The MacBook that was released recently could give you an idea of this sky blue color. The previous 16 debuted in Pink, teal, and ultramarine color options, along with the standard White and Black. The Pro and Pro Max introduced desert titanium, a shade of peach, along with the white titanium, natural titanium, and black titanium options.
iPhone 17 Pro Camera Redesign
The camera of this model has been subject to rumors so many times. Apple could feature this model with a horizontal camera bar across the width of the phone, and the front camera could be upgraded. As per Majin Bu, the handset could sport a pill-shaped camera like the Google Pixel 9 phone.
So there is a question that this new model would align the three camera lenses in a single row or a pyramid design like the 16 Pro..
