What Does The Rumor Say?

The latest leaks by AppleInsider are that the thinner Phone by Apple might get a silicon anode battery that could extend battery life. Another digital chat station reported that a supplier from Japan named TDK was preparing silicon anode batteries that could save 15% more energy compared to graphite-based batteries with the same size.

Is the Silicon Battery New for iPhone?

Apple is using the silicon battery for the first time for its Phone. But some other smartphones like Magic V3 which is the world’s thinnest book style foldable phone, already use silicon carbon batteries.

Apple May Include External Battery Accessory

The leaked information reports Apple’s internal testing found that 60-70% of users were able to go a whole day without charging the Phone. The parameter for other Phones from this brand is that 80 to 90 percent of users can go a single day without charging their iPhone.

A shorter battery life is expected for the 5.5mm ultra-slim profile of the upcoming 17 Air. That makes it the thinnest Phone by Apple ever. As per the reports, Apple is planning to add an accessory to solve this problem. The brand will provide “a phone case meant for the thin model that also contains a battery pack”. That means the company is going to bring back a new version of the Smart Battery case that was discontinued. This battery case was introduced by Apple in 2015 for its 6 series.

Not only does the shorter battery life of, 17 Air might not contain any physical SIM card slot. That means only eSIMs are allowed. But it will be challenging in China because Chinese regulations do not allow any eSIMs currently.
