Huawei is about to announce something totally explosive that could shake up the tech world; this time, it's from the most excellent Chinese tech devil. The company's new Tri-Fold smartphone is scheduled to hit the market on September 4, 2025. Reports and leaks, though, suggest that this smartphone is likely to be the world's first commercially developed full Tri-Fold mobile phone.

Tri-Fold Design of Huawei Mate XT
Among other things, this mobile phone's foldable design is triangular or Tri-Fold Design, wherein most other foldable smartphones, throughout history, have been folded into two sections. This phone will be folded into three parts, thus allowing the same functionality of the phone-as-a-tablet as well as a smartphone.
Might Specifications
Though it has not publicly produced any specifications of the device, industry pundits generally surmise that it will most likely have:
A 10+ inch OLED display when the device is fully unfolded
Latest in the Kirin series chipset
12GB+ RAM and up to 512GB of storage
Latest version of HarmonyOS
Advanced camera setup, maybe even with computational tech
Large battery and super-fast charging
Software and AI Features
Mate XT will probably run on HarmonyOS 5.0, which will focus on multitasking, smart split-screen capabilities, and give all features of a smoother, smarter folding process.

Global Market and Competition
Samsung, Xiaomi, and Oppo already have a standing in the foldable market, but this ID should highly assure Huawei to secure that position, once again, against all other rivals concerning the Tri-Fold phone appealing to Chinese and European markets.
Next-generation smartphone would be none other than the Mate XT, where power meets unique Tri-Fold technology meets modern design to become, really, a futuristic contraption. Now, it is up to the tech lover's patience to wait for what Huawei will officially say about what to expect from the launch event on September 4th.
