Chinese tech giant Huawei has been trying for some time to reclaim its position in the smartphone and allied accessories sector. Apart from revamping its smartphone portfolio, the company is now preparing to set its focus on wearable devices. Huawei Mobile has made headlines by teasing an upcoming wearable device on popular social media platform X. The device will be unveiled on September 14, 2023, and the event venue is Barcelona.
The teaser for the upcoming Huawei wearable device does not reveal too many details. However, industry experts and tech enthusiasts think it will be the Watch GT 4. It can be a possibility given the fact that the much-touted device was given Bluetooth SIG certification last month. So, a release can be on the cards. The new Huawei smartwatch will have Bluetooth 5.2 embedded. It will be running HarmonyOS 4.0.
The upcoming Watch GT 4 from the Chinese tech giant will be launched as a successor to the Watch GT 3, launched 3 years back. From the online leaks, it looks like Huawei may release as many as 4 smartwatch devices at the upcoming event in Spain. These devices may offer long battery life, thanks to the support for Bluetooth 5.2. Huawei is mum on launching any other device on the event but the possibility of unveiling a new smartphone cannot be ruled out.
