Hardcore Holly was one of the most active wrestlers of WWE throughout the New Gen Era and the Attitude Era of the promotion. He even worked during the Ruthless Aggression Era. He won multiple top championship titles from WWE including three Tag Team championships. The final Tag Team title he won in WWE was with Cody Rhodes.

Holly was one of the biggest attractions of the famous Hardcore division of WWE during the Attitude Era and that was how his name changed from Bob Holly to Hardcore Holly. He had been a six times WWE Hardcore Champion and every time the long gone Hardcore division of WWE is remembered, Holly is remembered too.

Hardcore Holly Claims This Forgotten WWE Champion is The Toughest Wrestler He Ever Worked With

Recently, Holly talked with Stone Cold Steve Austin where he remembered one of his fellow WWE stars Steve Blackman who was also a big attraction of the Hardcore division of WWE. Holly said that Blackman was one of the toughest wrestlers he ever worked with.

He even compared him with wrestling legend Haku who is widely considered to be one of the toughest wrestlers in the history of professional wrestling. Speaking on The Steve Austin Show podcast, the former six times WWE Hardcore Champion explained the following;

Hardcore Holly is a six times WWE Hardcore Champion

“Steve, he isn’t anybody to mess with. I pushed his buttons on purpose, but I knew my boundaries, I knew my limitations. I knew how far I could go with him because I knew Steve, and I wasn’t about to push him over that edge where I was going to come up missing. Because I’m serious—Steve is no joke.”

Hardcore Holly and Cody Rhodes won the WWE Tag Team titles together

“I’d put him in the same class as Meng. I put those two right there. Yeah, Steve’s dangerous. He’s one of those kinds of guys where if you’re messing with him, just joking around, he questions, ‘Okay, is this guy really messing with me, or is he wanting to start something?’ He’s always that serious. He’s a good dude, funny, one of the nicest people you’d ever meet, but he’s just somebody that’s dangerous—he’s flat dangerous.”

Steve Blackman had never been promoted to anything more than a lower mid card in WWE but it was a known fact that he was one of the toughest members of the roster. He was often regarded as the Lethal Weapon and as already mentioned, he was mostly used for the Hardcore division of WWE, which is long gone. Steve Blackman was also a six times WWE Hardcore Champion.
