Expectations were pretty high from the Google Pixel 10 Pro Series in the tech arena, but latest leaks and information suggest that there are no significant innovations in this series. So, a question has risen among the users-whether or not this series is really an upgrade?

Google Pixel 10 Pro

No Major Changes in the Design and Build

The Pixel 10 Pro series is touted to be at par with the Pixel 9 Pro. The aluminum frame and glass back along with camera visor are in similar places as before. It may be a little thinner or lighter but design language has no surprises.

Minor Improvement on Chipset and Performance of Gooogle Pixel 10 Pro

The Pixel 10 Pro has a Google Tensor G4 chipset which should be a little stronger than the G3. No difference would actually be apparent from any capacity gaming or heavy multitasking, though performance from a Snapdragon 8 Gen series processor will not be even close.

No Major Upgrades in the Camera Department of Google Pixel 10 Pro

It usually does a great job in a camera performance, but probably, the sensor in the Pixel 10 Pro will be identical to the previous one. Even though there might be some improvements in software image processing, very little innovation would happen at the hardware level.

Battery and Charging-no Surprises

Nothing to notice in the battery concerning improvements. About 30W will still be the charging speed, which is low. While Samsung and OnePlus are offering 80W or more charging, Google lags behind here.

Google Pixel 10 Pro

Software Updates and AI Features-the Only Hope

It's main strength is software and AI. Pixel 10 Pro would get new features like Google Assistant, Gemini AI, and a couple more of these smart features that enhance user experience with Android 15 but a majority of these features will be available with the earlier Pixel phones.

Though the Pixel 10 Pro Series may experience slight technical improvements, very few people consider these developments as a real 'upgrade'. In fact, skipping the model may reasonably make sense for people using the Pixel 8 or 9 series.
