God of War, or GoW in short, had always been one of the premier franchises of the Sony PlayStation. It has been two decades since Sony released the first GoW game exclusively for the PlayStation 2. It was an instant hit, and it managed nearly 5 million sales.
After seeing its immense success, Sony decided to continue the series and they launch a sequel in 2007 named God of War 2. This was also a huge head and it sold 4.24 million copies. But it was also a Playstation 2 exclusive title and Gamers from other platforms could not play this game either.
The first two God of War games may get remastered for multiple platforms
They release a lot of spin offs of these series, Ascension became quite famous among them. There were some PSP exclusive titles, too. In 2010 the third part of the series was released, and less than two years time, it sold over 5 million copies for PlayStation 3.

The game was remastered for PlayStation 4 in 2015, and this was the only God of War game that has ever been remastered. In 2018, they rebooted the series with a completely new style, and this version has also been released in other platform later. But the earlier parts are still not playable to any of the gamers outside of PlayStation users.

However, recent rumours suggest that there are plans of releasing remastered version of the earlier God of War video games, would be available on one single bundle, much like Uncharted The Legacy Collection. Exactly which games are going to be in this bundle is still not confirmed.

Rumours also suggest that this is going to be the first time that these earlier versions of the mentioned video game will get ported to other platforms apart from the Sony PlayStation. If this actually happens, PC gamers can definitely experience this amazing ride.
