Another RPG game based on the world famous television series Game of Thrones is on the horizon and it is edging nearer to its release. The television series started back in 2011 and it consisted a total of eight seasons which continued until 2019. It is still considered one of the most popular TV series in the entire world.
The first video game based on the series was released back in 2012 and this one was also an RPG game. It received mixed reactions overall and it is not much talked about anymore. In 2014, famous video game makers Telltale Games decided to get their hands on GOT and they released a Telltale series based on the TV series.

The GOT Telltale series also received mixed reactions from the critics but the game was a massive success. There were a total of six episodes and it still has a huge following. In fact, there had been demand for more episodes, or a new part.
GOT Telltale Series was released back in 2014
There have not been any games based on The Game of Thrones television series until the recent announcement of Game of Thrones Kingsroad. It is going to be an action RPG game, unlike the Telltale series which was an episodic adventure game.

The release trailer of the game was uploaded on YouTube recently and it revealed that the game will be released by May 21, 2025. The reveal trailer of the game was released around four months ago and things looks pretty clear that Jon Snow is the going to be one of the playable characters of this game.

As of now, it looks like the game is going to be a Windows exclusive, but there are hints that the game may get released on Mobile devices too. Presently, it does not look like the game will release on PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X/S.
