When they go through the code, they find themselves getting to false sites that have been hijacked by hackers. Check the URL - Check the URL after scanning and before clicking. Be careful in public places- Scan in restaurants, parks, or even open places with caution.
Do not scan it when in doubt - Never scan it if you're in doubt.
Like any other technological advance, the life cycle of QR codes is quite short, and the technological "death" of a QR code is even shorter. The FBI has delivered a warning about QR fraud that should resound in the halls of scammer buildings. When roaming about the web, do try to protect yourself against poachers.
