Elden Ring is the latest instalment in the Soulsborne genre from famous video game developers FromSoftware. It will not be exaggerated that it is the most popular Souls game ever game. Even in a short time period, the video game became more popular than any other game in the series.
The first Soulsborne game was released back in 2009. It was Demon’s Souls and it was released exclusively for PlayStation 3. Instantly, it became a huge sensation among the gamers and it was such a big hit that the developers decided to continue the same game mechanic.
Elden Ring creates a new record
They brought another game of the same style in 2011; The Dark Souls. It was the first multi platform release in the Soulsborne series. In 2014, they brought Dark Souls 2, but its reception was poor. They corrected the errors and in one year's time they released Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin.
Elden Ring was released in 2022
In 2015, FromSoftware came back with another bang in the form of Bloodborne. It still remains one of the best and critically acclaimed video games in the Soulsborne series. It was the only PlayStation 4 exclusive title and even after so many PC ports, this game is still exclusive to PlayStation 4.
Elden Ring is the highest Soulsborne game so far
In 2017, Dark Souls 3 came out, and this video game also maintained the fame of the series. In 2019, FromSoft released Sekiro, and it was totally different from the rest of the series. It was also the hardest of them all. In 2020, they remade Demon’s Souls for PS5 with modern graphics.
