The series was introduced back in 1998, and the first video game of the series was released exclusively for Microsoft Windows. The first instalment of this series was such a big hit that the developers, NovaLogic, decided to release a direct sequel in 2000.

Despite both games being quite popular, NovaLogic took nine long years to release the next part of the video game. But this time the game was not as successful as its predecessors. The video game world moved on from this video game series.

In 2016, the developers promised a new part of the series, but unfortunately, this mentioned game could never see the daylight. Therefore, after 2009, no video game in the mentioned series has ever been released until early 2025, as TiMi Studio Group Garena brought back the beloved series.

TiMi Studio Group Garena is the same company that developed Call of Duty Mobile. The newest Delta Force video game was released in January 2025 for PC. In April, the game came out on mobile devices. Overall, the game has been quite successful, and it received mixed reactions.

This is going to be first time a video game of this series is getting rele.ased outside of PC.
