Carlos Colon Jr. who is better known as Carlito in the world of professional wrestling is presently active in the Monday Night RAW brand of WWE and he is one of the members of the Judgment Day faction. He has been active in the promotion since his return on May 2023 at the Backlash event which took place in his own country; Puerto Rico.

This is his second run in WWE as he had a strong mid card run in the promotion during the Ruthless Aggression Era and the early PG Era. He won both the WWE United States Championship and the WWE Intercontinental Championship once each. He is also a former WWE Tag Team Champion.

Carlito Remembers His WWE Debut Match With John Cena, Also; Reveals His WWE Contract Length

His WWE debut back in October 2004 is still remembered as one of the most classic debuts in WWE history. He confronted then WWE United States Champion John Cena on his debut and also defeated Cena to win the US title on his debut. Recently, he remembered his WWE debut and also discussed his present contract length. Speaking with Chris Van Vliet on his Insight podcast, he said;

Carlito is a former WWE United States Champion

“For a little bit, yeah. I still feel like I have a little bit left in the tank. I feel like I got a few more years in me. Not many, but a few. I’ve been dealing with some injuries, so not bumping has helped. Like I said, there’s still a little bit left in the tank,” said the former WWE United States Champion.

Carlito Backlash 2023

Carlito defeated John Cena on his WWE debut match

Here is what he said about his WWE debut, “It was great. I first thought that Cena had pranked me because as soon as I got there he was the nicest guy to me. Went over everything with me, one of the nicest guys you could ever meet. Then we get in the ring, the bell rang, and he kicked me in the stomach so hard, that’s like, oh, okay I see what’s going on here. But that’s just the way he worked. And I think that’s what he said. He’s a strong boy, he hits hard.”

Carlito is not treated as a top star or even mid card at this moment. He will celebrate his 46th birthday in one week's time and his present role in the promotion is just to uplift younger talents. Much like his father Carlos Colon Sr. a WWE Hall of Famer, he is also considered one of the biggest Puerto Rican wrestling legends.
